Urgent Care Medicine Examination Schedule

All ABPS written exams are offered on computer at testing centers across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada.

These exams are offered during month-long testing windows, allowing candidates great flexibility in selecting the testing center, date and time that fits their schedule. Some testing centers even have evening and weekend testing appointments available.

Complete applications are reviewed by the Board of Certification. Once approved by the Board, candidates will be sent registration information by mail for the next available testing window. Registration information is mailed no later than three (3) months prior to the start of the testing window (for example, registration information for the November testing window is mailed no later than August 1).

PLEASE NOTE

Incomplete applications are not reviewed by the Board and candidates will not be permitted to register for the exam until their complete application has been reviewed and approved. Candidates have one (1) year from the date of submission to complete their application. Applications left incomplete beyond one (1) year are deemed invalid and candidates must reapply, if they wish to become Board Certified.
