We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Physician with/without Medical Director interest to join our small, independent Emergency Medicine group. Our team staffs the Monadnock Community Hospital Emergency Department, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital (CAH) that provides comprehensive care, including inpatient, outpatient, 24-hour staffed emergency care, ambulatory care, and select specialty services. The Emergency Department features 12 beds and serves approximately 13,500 patients annually. Located in historic Peterborough in the wooded Monadnock region, with hiking, skiing and kayaking nearby, less than 1 hour from Manchester airport, equidistant drive (1.5 hours) to the White Mountains, to Boston or to the Atlantic Coast, our hospital offers an ideal balance of rural charm and access to urban and recreational amenities.
Position Overview
- Role: Part-time (7-9 shifts/mo) to Full-time (10-12 shifts/mo) Emergency Physician.
- Group: Small, independent, and democratically run Emergency Medicine group.
- Location: Rural setting with proximity to urban centers and outdoor activities.
- Qualifications: Board-certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM or BCEM/ABPS), or Internal Medicine/Family Practice (IM/FP) with relevant emergency medicine experience.
- Shifts: 12-hour shifts (8A-8P/8P-8A) with 12-hour mid-level provider coverage (10A-10P). Flexible scheduling with options for primarily day, night, or mixed shifts based on preference.
- Leadership Opportunities: Seeking a Medical Director. Additionally, hospital committees (Med Exec, QI, P&T, credentialing).
